The US/Western Powers can't stomach Democracy.

EXACTLY! And I still believe that most ME countries are run with too much emphasis towards religion. Is that right or wrong?!? Not for me to decide or the U.S./U.N.

Did Sadaam have to go... IMO... Yes! Do I, as an American, want to see McDonalds and MTV in Iraq or other ME countries... NO!

One of the only "westernized" influences I would like to see in ME countries is term limits.

US never claimed to follow a democratic path in its foreign affairs. If a country allows 180 disparate countries (which have no stake in its sucess or failure) make its national security decisions, that country would cease to be independent. (and in the case of a powerful country, cease to be powerful).
