what the iraqi ppl did to imam hussaein? what does that have to do with an average joe Iraqi kid of today?
Nuke them? so on one hand you are all upset about what happened to Iranians in Iran-Iraq war, but then you want to do worse to all iraqis? by that token every single country should be nuked.
as soon as I can find some intelligent life form and can get off this planet, I will support resolutions to resolve all conflicts by war through thorough nuking of all countries, with the exception of Burkina Faso because no one knows anything about them anyways.

It's definitely a catch 22. If one believes that lifting the sanctions would allow the Saddam regime to gain WMD that more quickly is that person still inhuman? I know you mean good but is it possible that those with the opposite viewpoint also mean good?
Aries, I think you missed Nadias point, Saddam does deserve punishment but the people who are oppressed by him don't.

When I was growing up and going through the grind of reading Faiz and seeing the Zia regime ..and then Benazir and then Nawaaz and so on...I used to think of my grandfather a LOT..and I do believe that we, as Pakistanis, got what we deserved...we have never been honest and true to ourselves..never repected our Hostory and hardly work hard at making or building anything let alone the structures of a Nation...so we got the kind of leaders we deserved...just a stray thought

Bhutto a dictator? You are forgetting uncle Zia and Musharraf... As for the looting part goes, the name NAWAZ SHARIF tops it all... Just because you dont like Bhutto doesnt vindicate the other crooks... Bhutto was ten times better than Zia or Sharif.
i don't believe i have ever stated that Zia and Sharif were any more decent than Bhutto. i hate the whole pack of them.
IMHO, Bhutto was NEVER ten times better than the rest, but i think that is better reserved for another topic in another thread.
