Work on making a good masala and any dish you make will turn out well. It's the base of any good dish, if that is lacking then you won't get far.
Try the step by step recipes which guppies have shared. Sometimes having a guide makes things easy.
It's weird. I can cook but I could not boil eggs. I have just managed to master that.
Practise, patience and a decent recipe and you will be well on your way to becoming a good cook.
