During an era not too long ago, we used to call all Punjabis as paindoos and other "interesting" names in Karachi. I try to avoid this term due to the history now.

They have other names for your kind like hind… mat.. err never mind! :hehe:

It is kinda funny that I ran across these kind of people more here than in Pakistan thinking that the western culture of tolerance might have changed them but a dugga always remains a dugga! :hehe:

I agree with you. I find people with roots in 'villages' to be very sweet.

The term paindoo has become synonymous with an uncouth peasent. I think in many a eastern cultures, peasents are considered uncultured. A Persian friend of mine went off on a guy and among other things called him a peasent.
