State narrative of history is always fragile, because ‘jhoot ke paon nahin hote’.

Two nations theory is one of the most complicated and confused idea in recent history of world. As you mentioned, East Pakistan, the major proponent of the idea parted away (made to part away) from Pakistan. The policies of the rulers have never supported or made a room for this idea to flourish. With the passage of time, only disintegration flourished. Its time that we start thinking the ways to address grievances and first step is to acknowledge that some parts of the country have not been provided their due right. This will involve slaughtering some holy cows and when did they go wrong.

But this is not the fault of the 2 nation theory. Muslims of india were supposed to be creative and prosper in an open environment aka the republic of Pakistan. If later assholes decided to subvert that intention then that is not the fault of jinnah or liaqat or suhrwardy etc.
