If seeing Prophet(SAW) makes one stay the course then it is wonderful thing. But seeing him in dream does not make someone pious or turn them into a saint. Seeing our Holy Prophet in dream is a blessing , no doubt , but it does not provide that person a certificate of piousness. The good deeds of a person will be the only acceptable means of ones salvation on Judgement Day.
During his own period many people of Holy Prophet(SAW) time saw him in person, a living , breathing , walking and talking Holy Prophet(SAW) , but that did not stop them from throwing more (naazobilla) dirt on our Holy Prophet(SAW). The munafaqeen of his time used to interact with him , used to listen to him but at the end of the day they were devoid of that conviction to the religion.
I agree completely. Actually the lecture I mentioned says the same thing..idea wise.
