There is no doubt that some of them have grown larger than life. And the reason is that the nation has become so news-hungry that talk-shows have become the most sought-after fodder for everyday life. It's not just Aamir Liaquat, we have now a battery of soothsayers and doomsayers.

What exactly is the law for? There wasn't any blasphemy occuring before this law and people were not being killed left right and centre by mobs. Why then did we need the law? To fulfill our need to show off our religiosity?
What has been the result of this law? "Mobs randomly declaring someone blasphemous and punishing them." Who gives a damn what the wording of the law is. Look at the effect it has.
