Interesting. Maybe I’m assuming too much here. Do you even believe this law is an example of institutional discrimination against Ahmedis (among others)? Do you disagree its ambiguous wording guarantees abuse? Do you believe the government is justified in prohibiting Ahmedis from “indirectly or directly posing as a Muslim,” from declaring or propagating their faith publicly, building mosques or even referring to them as such, or making the call to prayer? Is it acceptable if the state metes out punishment for the above instead of a mob?
If you don’t consider it institutional discrimination, why object to the hate speech of Liaquat and others? If they’re dehumanizing minorities, they’re only repeating what’s in the Constitution.
