nothing really

PDA is kinda office thingy with Touch screen and wifi and office apps

while smartphone can do those aswell but smart phones can also symbian, windows ce, iphone software thingy, palm OS etc

in other words
they are the same thing

oh and PDA doesnt need to have phone functionality but all smartphones do have them
