Re: The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder
Senator **Dennis John Kucinich **tried to move a vote to impeach G.W. Bush but could not get much support so that resolution was scrapped.
Now he is intent on trying Chenney, i believe the result with be the same. Democrats are loving these guys in their current positions as President and V.P. (because they're so disliked). G.W. is like a vote-cow for Dems., and they will keep him in office until his term is up because the more people see G.W. as the president, the more likely they are to swing the other way (hypothetically).
If G.W. Bush was impeached, then public would accept that justice has been served, a wrong-doer has been dealt with and the hope arises that next GOP candidate will not be like G.W. It also gives McCain the upper lift to say 'Look we impeached Bush, he was wrong, i'm a better candidate and i am not like him'. However, with G.W. still there, you can see McCain is, and still has to work to distance himself from this administration as much as possible. It's an uphill battle, and Obama's loving this. He is very effectively able to reflect GOP policies from the past 8 years to woo voters his way.
I don't believe G.W. and his staff will be tried for any crimes whatsoever. They may however just remain the most failed and hated politicians in American history. An American President is not likely to be tried in a court for crime committed while commanding the nation. It's like imploding the national image on an international level, if President/V.P. are convicted.
