We Pakistanis might disagree about the extent of cooperation we may have with US, but we all need to agree on at least one thing. Every form of militancy must be eliminated.
This should be the basis of our cooperation with everyone including the US. In other words, we should get support from the US against militancy, but supporting US policies for the sake of appeasement should not be our aim.
We should also not be suicidal. We don't have enough resources to confront US like Iran. Because our economy remains in shambles even though we keep getting aid (alms?) from US/Saudi/etc.
What we need to do is to continue working with US against militancy in Pak, but meanwhile develop business relations with the Far East, so as to stop our reliance on US/Europe. Unlike crusaders in America and Europe, yellow people have no grudge against us.
