:world'ssmallestviolin: The Sunnis weren't allowed to vote
Guess who didn't allow them? The murdering Sunnis who threatened to kill (and did!) their bretheren who voted and in the process have shot themselves in the foot. In spite of their determination to stop democracy, Shias will dominate the new government - and Sunnis have no one to blame for their outside-looking-in position but themselves. They better hope the Shias are more benevolent toward them than they have been to the Shias.

So what have the great "resistant" fighters accomplished? Keeping their people from the polls and from having a say in their future. These Sunni thugs that kill to keep their hold on power will not be a part of the future. Too bad. Join the revolution or wait for the train of the future to run over you. The intifada doesn't work, ramming planes into buildings doesn't work, blowing up trains doesn't work and killing your bretheren because they want to work for a future doesn't work.
Re: The people who weren't allowed to vote......Images will shock
US govt rigged an election by racially discriminating against a group of people. Ah the beaty of the neo-facist way of life in the newly Liberated heavily racist Iraq.
Re: The people who weren't allowed to vote......Images will shock
Iraqis have nice choice in this sham of an election vote for hand picked puppet no1 or vote for hand picked puppet number 2 or hand picked puppet number 3 you get the picture!
And these right wing nutjobs coming on here with moral high ground like they achiving something the only thing the Amerikkkans have achived is killing tens of thousands of innocent people and destroying iraq in the past 12+years!
Re: The people who weren't allowed to vote......Images will shock
I guess the keyboard jihadis forget who killed most of the poor Iraqi civilians who are dead and didn't get the opportunity to vote.
Fortunately, the Iraqi people haven't forgotten or forgiven. Some of the most touching stories over the weekend were interviews of parents of children who were killed by insurgent bombs. Despite fear for their own lives, they believed voting was the most important thing they could do in memorial of their dead. They knew that voting would be their way to defeat the thugs and terrorists.
So, for all those pictured who couldn't vote, remember who killed them and rejoice that the sacrifice the dead have made and that US soldiers make on a daily basis brought democracy to Iraq. :Salute:
Re: The people who weren't allowed to vote......Images will shock
MV, it would have been nice if in the name of balanced coverage they also showed or at least interviewed the family members of the US army victims. Our army has killed many inncoents....you think those family members will forget their pain any time soon. Go tell them how happy you are that their loved ones were slaughtered in the name of sham democracy (10% of total population came to polls)...some elections.
Re: The people who weren’t allowed to vote…Images will shock
Where is this 10% number coming from? I think you’re just repeating what some keyboard jihadi made up. Iraq has a total population of something around 25 million. The voting age population is obviously less than that. It is estimated that 40% of the population is 0-14 and the median age is 19.2 years. If 8 million cast ballots, that is more than 30% of the total population and more than 50% of the eligible voters.
Check your facts and then engage your brain before blindly accepting someone elses bullsh*t as true.
Re: The people who weren't allowed to vote......Images will shock
Let me ask you, where is this 8 million number coming from? Is it coming from pentagon to the news agencies or has the UN or any other independent international body released this number? Maybe its time for you to "*Check your facts and then engage your brain before blindly accepting someone elses bullsh*t as true."*
Re: The people who weren’t allowed to vote…Images will shock
Uh… my number comes from the Iraqi officials responsible for organizing and holding the election. Your figure comes from Thappy or maybe one of the other usual suspects.
Hello ( :knockingonkaleemshead") !!! Anyone home in there today???
Re: The people who weren't allowed to vote......Images will shock
Some US people are really sick they want the iraqis to rejoice over a rigged election also after they have been bombed and killed by Amerikkkan terrorist forces for over 12 years and have been subjected to the most inhumane sanctions to date killing millions in the process.
Re: The people who weren’t allowed to vote…Images will shock
Democracy in Iraq really just tears you up inside doesn’t it, aKKK47. In your mind, the Iraqi people just aren’t worthy enough to have anything better than Islamo-fascist, dictatorial tyrants keeping them in check with tongue screws and full-body meat grinders.
I suppose you’ll rejoioce when that Iraqi woman holding up the “Thank you USA” sign is beheaded in the streets by your heroic insurgents. Not you, Thappy, or any of your fellow anti-American pissants can steal the glory from Sunday’s election.
Re: The people who weren't allowed to vote......Images will shock
Yeah they was so scared to vote in a rigged election NOT ever seen an election in pakistan then you will know exactly how to run a rigged election only this time US style!
Re: The people who weren’t allowed to vote…Images will shock
Exactly right. Freedom also means the freedom not to vote. I can’t believe the mindset of people who try to undermine the success of the election by b*tching, moaning and whining that the Sunnis didn’t vote. The Sunnis who didn’t vote chose not to do so voluntarily or were afraid to vote because their Sunni brothers and Sisters threatened to kill them if they did.
The Sunnis can participate if they want and when they are ready. If the majority of the Sunnis want to cower to a few armed fascist thugs and accept a life of fear, so be it. They can also choose to rat out the thugs and things will get better for them. That’s a hell of a lot better deal than the Shia and Kurds got over the last 30 years or so.
