i saw girls at ISNA wearing mini skirts with a hijab on...heading towards "club isna"(for all thosew ho know what that is ;). it was really.....weird to say the least, but ah well, we r all hypocrytes at sum level, sum more than others.

Look, lets not derail the thread with bald vs hairy women.
Lets go back to the hijaab issue, How is it justified to impose a law on one half of the female populace because the other half of the male population is weak. IMO its unfair.

Not true at all. If this was the case then every non-hijaabi women in the west would be getting molested or raped.
If you have lived in Pakistan you must have seen that boys tease the girls all the time if they are not wearing hijaab. IMO there is only one possible reasons for it.
You hide something for too long the attraction increases. Most of the young boys are frustrated in Pakistan, as they have virtually no interaction with girls. And I believe that the segregation in the sexes in all fields is partially if not fully resposible for it.
apparently so is sinead o’conner …but these are just examples of famous women who appear on tv and magazines. you are forced to look at their face

i DONT think it's justified to impose the hijab on women. i am not in favour of the hijab..i dont think its necessary in this day and age, especially abroad..nor do i wear it myself.
i was just stating what i think is the reason for them to want women 2 cover the hair..i wsa just responding to som1's q above that what is the point 2 cover just the hair? i said probably bcs hair is seen as symbol of beauty in women.
