Aleezay, I found the name Maya on several lists of Muslim baby names and loved it right away. It's pronounced like the month of May..a. Not like the usual prononciation of M-eye-a. It's very simple and easy name that means princess. Amna is my husband's Dadi's name. I basically scoured around for names and made a list. Then my husband liked my top 2 favorites as well and we found that Maya just seemed like the one.
She's a very easy baby. I haven't even heard her cry yet. She sleeps alot and wants to be fed alot. Safia was a very different baby, very colicky, lots of crying and needed to be held all the time. I hope Maya doesn't get colicky Inshallah because she's just such an easy going baby so far.
