^You’re not following the story correctly. The princess has already become a “man”. And she’s being chased by a love-struck girl (Gulabo) from the muhalla who thinks the princess is a handsome stud. 
A little birdie told the King of Arrogant…that the “man” he slayed was none other than the princess. The princess… before succumbing to her death…vowed to return as a malevolent spirit/ghost and make the King’s life a living a hell.
When Gulabo learned of her beloved’s demise…she wept tears of blood. And she too vowed…to wreak havoc in King Arrogant’s life!
