Re: The Nanny Diaries
lol kino.
if you want to stay with the east asia theme...did you read memoirs of a geisha? the movie will make more sense if you read the book. also try Geisha: A life by Mineko Iwasaki. This is the woman that the author of memoirs based his book on. a good controversy behing it too :D.
if not...umm try the time traveler's wife. its sooooooo sweet. heart breaking at the end. and umm if you want crazy...try the eyre affair. i had to read it twice to make total sense :p

I really feel for you though, sounds like I will prolly fall asleep even through the movie, even though Scarlett Johansen is kinda cute…
Re: The Nanny Diaries
lol
Re: The Nanny Diaries
Aana can't make out the list clearly. I've read Angela's Ashes and Balzac and the chinese seamstress. Angela's Ashes was good but it was long. There's a movie out there for it, it goes very much with the book.
*khummi*Yeah read Memoirs of Geisha last winter. Excellent read. I wanted to read it before the movie released, still haven't seen it:p
Will look for the other Geisha book you mentioned.

Plot Outline: A college student (Johansson) goes to work as a nanny for a rich New York family. Ensconced in their home, she has to juggle their dysfunction, her studies, a new romance, and the spoiled brat in her charge.
