i am going to see the movie tomorrow, but i absolutely loved the book...it was amazing, really touched me. especially the first couple of chapters when Ashima describes her nostalgic feelings, it's something which i think perfectly fits the situation of my own mom...jumpa lahiri puts into words those feels. i love her writing style as well.

*Excellent movie. Tabu's work is fantastic as per usual, and so is Irfan Khan's. Kal Penn is quite reliable, but he could have done better. Definitely worth a watch.
