The question is will the uneducated Indians understand the complicated storyline.
And how in the world are they going to watch without watching the first 2 movies.
[/QUOTE]

Uneducated? Well, most are not so "uneducated" now. And what is so complicated about the storyline anyways? And how do you assume that Indians haven't watched the first 2 parts? Every hollywood movie has been releasing in India for the past 7 or 8 years( in original version, dubbed and subtitled too).

Umair316: I know you love bashing India, but do so when you find a valid point. Don't go around bad-mouthing your neighbouring country for no reason at all.

And yeah.. sticking to the original topic.. I am gonna go for the movie either today or this weekend. I think this one is going to be great.

Felt like it

Leaving in ten to see this movie, if I'm satisfied that my money was well spent, I'll come back tommorow to give a somewhat formal (but not specific) review. If I'm not, expect a long post about me ranting late tonight.

Skipped school to see this movie...and I must say I was a bit disapointed...but nonetheless, a good movie with stunning action scenes!

pretty disappointing...

Just like Jurrassic Park, what started out as a great movie and sequals ruined the repuatition.
Action was great but storyline was never there, very predictable.
Boring ending for such a hyped up sequals.
I am very dissappointed with 2 sequals, Matrix 1 was in its own class.
I would still watch it for the action but nothing else.

7/10

Birth, Life and finally Death.

I woke up at 5 in the morning to see the first show of the Matrix Revolutions at 6 - Man I must say I wasn’t that much excited and hyped up before in my life and never will be.

Having loved the original Matrix - seen Reloaded 6 times and yet still failed to fully understand what on earth the Architect was babbling on about - it was with excitement that I queued up and paid for my ticket to see the third and final installment - simply in the desperate hope that at last everything might make some form of sense - i was not disappointed - although I still can’t understand the point of the random, comically French villain whose name nobody can pronounce - this did not particularly detract from my enjoyment - The film has much more the feel of the first - and the pretentious nonsense which pretty much sealed Reloaded’s doom was kept to a minimum. This left time for everyone to actually start to act for once.

Picking up where Reloaded - the second in the series left off - we find our heroes aboard a ship with Neo and Agent Smith as a human in a coma - this is where it starts to get confusing. Without giving too much of the plot away - Neo is trapped in a world between the human world and the Matrix. It makes no sense - and there is no explanation as to just where and what this is - and how he is there without being plugged into anything - From there it’s pretty straight forward - This would be fine if it had an engaging original story. No - not even close - Where Reloaded gained strength from it’s weak story was the awesome visual effects which were no less than jaw dropping - however - Revolutions does not contain much action - it’s mostly talk. When the Machines finally do burrow through to Zion - the human resistance city - mainly robots fight them off - and this brings amazing special effects - that scene was almost 15 minutes long, exciting every minute - and the final fight between Agent Smith and Neo was mind blowing, but a bit on the short side. Hugo Weaving has done a superb job! :k:

The battle scenes left me in total shock as I looked down at one point to see my heart racing as I sat watching the battle play out on the screen but The Wachowski Brothers have once again fallen into the trap of over-doing things and whilst watching the admittedly impressive fight scenes - I did find myself checking my watch - Overall still a good film - a little too long but Revolutions has successfully brought the Matrix Trilogy from the brink.

i give 6/10 to the Revolutions - and overall 7.5/10 for the Matrix Series.

yes, can someone please tell me what the architect was on about? That old man nearly put me to sleep in the theatre.

Talha: thanks for the review. This is the general review of the people I guess. Nobody is really satisfied with the movie. Still I am going to see the movie for the sake of special effects.

In the end of Reloaded the Architect explains to Neo the setup of the Matrix and how he has to get to the source to end the war and which he eventually does in Revolution.

Reloaded and Revolutions aren't like Jurrasic Park, they're part of a trilogy. Each movie is unable to completely stand on it's own, it's more like Lord of the Rings.

The first half of the movie was boring (except for my friend who, before hte movie started, said into the silence, "Stop touching me" in a girl's voice. Then he waited three seconds and said "I said stop it"), the last half was more interesting, and mostly because of the fighting. The story line was ended pretty well, although I was unsatisfied by what the Oracle said at the end. It was a pretty good end to the trilogy but I think it's an unsatisfactory movie if it had to stand on it's own, as the other two could, because I felt that the special effects were toned down and more emphasis was on teh story line. I think the movie was a bit too long, the almost three hours should've been shorter to make it seem less choppy and inconsistent. According me rating system:

I'd pay once to see this movie. And I have.

I disagree, I think they were trying to end the movie faster rather then go along with the storyline like Reloaded or the original.
Nothing new came off this one, no surprises, no twist to the storyline and nothing which related to what the Architect was talking about in the last one.
I have to admit, Reloaded and Revolution were made only for the money and were no way compared to the original.

Thanks Umair.

Yeah, the gist of his blabber was the above..I know, but what does he exactly ask Neo to do?

I remember him talking about some versions of matrix.. the present one being the 5th or the sixth one.. etc etc. I hope I am not mixing it with some other movie.

He gives Neo 2 choices.
First was to go back through the door and save Trinity.
Second choice was the go through the door with the bright light to the main source and save Zion.
The other 6 The Ones chose to go to the source and they all die but Neo goes back and saves Trinity and stays alive.
