In our family we only give the MIL and SIL's =) and our relatives..such as mom's sisters and dad's sisters..MIL it's always gold "karra's" and for SIL's bracelets or rings etc..rest get dress-materials!

I hate this rasam it is absolutely crap esp since the women in my family r stupid .. im nt tlkin abt my in laws bt since i ws married in the family joray were also given to dadi n phuppo n they were js all criticisms also i dun think we shud give in laws nefin parents r givin their daughter dt shud b enuff!

arghh its such a crap and iam totally against it but in our family if one's(MIL) not gettin anything other then a pcs of fabric poor girl's parents have to listen stupid comments the rest of the life like whatever the've given is their daughter's not ours

i only say that cz usually they’re the ones who’ll be paying for it, and if they’re old school they will do it regardless of what any of us think. so y shud we have any more added stress

yeah i think its so retarded how we have to give the inlaws all these things. im kinda angry because for my sweet 16, people mostly gave me cash and my parents bought two gold sets with it. i told em how they shouldnt have done that since i hate gold and dont ever wear it. u know what they said to that??
