Shia's seemed to have voted for their own Caliphate, led by groups like Da'awa Hezbollah and Islamic Virtue. Is that what the US wanted?
US handpicked a puppet regime, committed gunshot elections and call that democracy As for quoting the corrupt rulers its called using the enemies weapons against them.
The United States is setting up a new embassy in Baghdad to assume U.S. responsibilities in Iraq after sovereignty is returned to Iraqis on 30 June. It will be the world’s biggest U.S. embassy, with some 4,000 staff members. But the sheer size of the project is proving an organizational challenge – and raising questions about America’s future intentions in Iraq.
Hmmmm biggest embassy in baghdad wonder why that is?
Islamic state is going to be formed, but it will not be localized to a specific geographical area. It will be global..... I repeat GLOBAL.....and to me the path is being paved for that by the non-muslims themselves (and they have no understanding of that) :D
So, Ohioguy and underthrown, chill out dudes.
The Christain armies are committing heinous crimes aginst the whole humanity in Iraq right now. Let them exert their full force. Just in the end, they will loose their game.
Food for thought for all the Caliphate dreamer. Have you noticed civilizations that have been Islamic for some centuries have gone into a freefall. Initially when they become Islamic there is a meteoric rise but they get burned out fast once Islam become set in those societies and the population become radicalized. The Arabs expanded rapidly after becoming Islamic. But after 300 years of Islam they were politically and militarily finished.
Then the Afghans who were new converts took over the job of expaning Islam in the East. They soon became potentless. Then the Mongols came in the 1100's and drove the final nail in the Arab coffin. They then spread Islam into the Caucasus and the areas which are now the CIS. Babar the Uzbek Mongol (Mughal is the Indian word for Mongol) then drove into India in the 1500's and continued to spread Islamic rule in India. Finally when the Mughal dynasty became radicalized when Aurangzeb was in power it weakened and fell.
In the west the Turks on being converted overthrew the Byzantine empire and conquered Constantinople. But as their society became more radicalized they were not able to expand further and mantained status quo.
Radicalized people are incapable of progress and so their society does not progress as well. The best example of this is when the Arab commander asked the Library of Alexandria to be burned to ground. When told by his soldiers that there was a lot of knowledge in these books which was gathered over centuries by the Egyptians, Greeks and the Romans, he said 'If these books oppose what the Quran says burn them, and if they support what the Quran says burn them too as Quran has all the knowledge in the world'.
Since the 1940's when the Arabs, who had lost power for almost a 1000 years, became flush with petro dollars, they started having wet dreams of returning to their golden period. They think that by spreading the radical form of Islam that they practise they are doing a service to Islam. On the contrary more and more countries will become dysfunctional like them and most of these countries dont even have the Oil to mantain the living standards of Arabia.

Ho hum, and Happy New Year.
The only thing Global is Al-Qaedda, certainly not the backbone for an enlightened Caliphate. And what makes you think that there is any cohesion at all in the Islamic world? The Islamic world is rife with corruption, tribal, ethnic and sectarian violence, and Islam does not seem to calm the waters, the current purveyors of the Caliphate seem to be the most brutal and violent among you.
The idea that a Caliphate is a natural reaction to Western actions basically means that Islamic (political) rule has no weight of it's own, and must rationalize itself by the hatred of a common enemy. Sound familiar? By creating an American "Devil", in the press, in propaganda, in modern mythology, in the mosque, people may be mobilized by a common hatred, but invariably they fail to provide any vision of enlightened Political Islam as an alternative.
So, I will continue asking the same question I have asked for four years here on Gupshup. Please show me one example of Islamic rule anywhere on earth that should prove that Islamic rule is a successful and viable modern alternative. Show me a country, a region, a province, somewhere, anywhere, where people are flocking to enlightened Islamic rule. If Islamic political rule is truely a viable alternative, it shoud be working somewhere in the world eh?
In the mean time, all these quotes about the coming Caliphate are not predictions that it will happen, merely an explaination of the radicals' end goal. Do not mistake the language here, no one has the slightest inkling that a Caliphate is even close to reasonably possible. The quotes from the above articles are simply an effort to further understand our enemy. Nothing more.
In the meantime, a modern day Caliphate is today nothing more than a pipedream, and wishful that Muslims will have significant political power and control in a modern world.
The thing to note is that Iran, Taliban, SA, even Pakistan have drastically different forms of government. This is a good thing; experimentation leads to results.
Who knew America would be the catalyst for further experimentation...
After 1400 years of the perfect system being revealed, this is as good as we get? As far from perfect as these current experiments are, it will take another 1400 years of unenlightened experiments to get there. Thank God it's a perfect system or we might have to wait 5000 years to get it right.
No islamic state and the west is still crapping its pants at the thoughts the western leaders who continue to highlight the coming of the khilfah are right to be worried they know there interests in the muslim world including parts of africa and china will be ended and there global corporations who will be kicked out will become bankrupt over night. The establishment of the islamic state will be the begginning of the end of western domination and the exploitation they have enjoyed for decades will be ended.
Is it coincidence or indicative that the biggest proponent of khilfahland on this board is also the most biased, insulting, rude, hypocritical and uninformed bigot? I'm guessing it's indicative, and that's why it is not possible for this fantasy land to ever become reality. If that is the caliber of person that will be sitting on the sultan's lap, then I would hope all Muslims would reject this fantasy.
the Western terrorist governments have as much memory as a goldfish after 3 seconds they forget they sponsored all the dictators and weapons of mass destruction themselves how conveneient of them!
King which king is that keep talking about khilafah because lets face it your pants are brown just at the thought of soemthing existing which currently does'nt how pathetic but then a again the yahuds and cowardice do hand in hand as the Koran tells us. The yahuds will be finlly given an option either leave by ship or plane to the states!
