depends who the boss is .. i had many bosses that were with me on floor before moving into offices..

Let’s compare this what she will get from male friends. I won’t say a thing because guppies are getting too judgmental and what if a person does not need a friend for these purpose, I do not think these are friends rather persons you are using. A friend gives you inside info, logic and understanding to life situations, career, education and goals not how to pick women. Some need it but that is not why you have friends.

nope.. u're right.. its getting too judgemental..

i would like to put myself on the shooting range.. i watch movies by myself.. cuz workschedule/life doesnt match with any acquaintance(sp?) people find it awkward.. but i dont rely on others and their timings and availibility to have some fun FOR ME.

and there isnt a life's situation where i will be stuck and wont know what to do. . . so THAT aspect is out as well..

its more like activity-partners that friends are present.. activities where its more fun having a different gender's headcount present..

what SHE gets? ummm... advice, different opinion at a problem in hand, MAKING a certain decision which requires just a neutral strong mind, i have tendency of laughing/lightening a situation by providing humour so TEMPORARY DISTRACTION to achieve focus, and maybe equalizing life's ups+downs

… it is mostly, picking out a dress, perfume or helping out with what girls might like. First, not interested in it, second your sister or mother can give you a better advice.

Not that I think women are not capable of it, but definatly not female friends. You can get the better understanding from female Boss, mother or some other person.

Ofcourse the smart ones were good for copying notes from and in exams but the others were just good to hang around with…plus they dont have moods liek us girls :halo:

But with men it is different since they are not tangled up psychologically in demanding emotions.

I am just curious about what are the benefits for a man when he is a friend of a woman.

Most men do have psychological issues, and females friends CAN provide all the benefits of friendship as a male can, but, sometimes things can get out of hand.

Why not? Its all in the intention and what kind of relationship you have. One of my closest friends is a male, and we have been friends since freshman year in college, thats been about 8 years now, and we are both married now and still just as good friends, and our spouses have become friends too.

I was able to talk to him about anything, get advice, joke around, and he was always there for me in tough times to cheer me up....same as my good female friends, but there was never anything more than that.

Do you make friends of the same sex due to which benefits you receive? I doubt it, its typically who you get along with, have lots in common to talk about, enjoy their company, someone who is caring and just fun to hang around with, whether they are female or male. I dont think anyone goes around looking for person of opposite sex to befriend based on benefits. Jeez.

Try sharing some little, seemingly unimportant, innocuous stuff with your male friends and you will soon be thought as a 'not-so-cool' person. With female friends, some inexpressive men tend to open up and a bit more expressive; that is only beneficial for their future.
