hooves are divided??? What does that mean???
Even harder to figure out whether hooves are divided or not when the dude is sliced, diced, marinated and cooked before you see it for the first time.
My rule of thumb ... when in doubt, leave. Better safe than sorry.

Cloven hooves...as in split down the middle. A horses hooves aren't cloven but in cows, goats, pigs etc. the hooves are cloven
