Perfection in Salat carrying over to life is a great idea but it doesn’t work anymore. The most corrupt and unethical society of Egypt goes on with crooked lives while their mosques are filled to capacity.
The reason is simple! Salat is not working for Muslims these days. How would you explain suicide bombers who pray five times, or the murderers who claim to have gotten their salat perfected then go on spraying bullets on Pakistani-Shias, or the hijackers of 9-11 who cleaned themselves up before the “final Salat”?
It is the priorities in our lives that drive our actions. Unfortunately we as Pakistanis have forgotten the essence of the teaching of Messenger saw.
