I suspect these were just copycat bombers with as much sophistication as a Blue Peter job. If they were of the same cell as the 7/7 attacks then you'd expect them to have gone down the same suicide bomber path rather than escaping from the scene.

These guys are so stupid they probably don't even know what they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in Paris. :)
