Fawad Alam should be in the team, no ifs and buts. Not only is he an excellent batsman, but a top-notch fielder as well. He has proven himself in the limited chances he was given. He could easily replace either one of Umar Amin, Azhar Ali, Shoaib Malik.

never understood why there is so much bakbak about this one guy. yes, he is promising... but so are many others. he is hardly the finished product. he should be given more chances but so should many others.

getting tired of hearing his name all the time... especially in the context of the Karachi bias bakwaas.

Although i never like to discuss Karachi & Lahore but yes its True. Even I"m from Lahore but true facts is this Captain is from Lahore so he want player only from Lahore and nothing else. Its a sad delima of Pakistan Cricket History. Afridi captain of T20 & ODI so he bring him in T20 & ODI .......

Fawad alam has better avg. ( in 40s ) in ODI and test ,while including our captain Butt no other batsaman ( umar amin , azhar ali , imran farhat , Umar akmal etc ) no one is close to him.
He suites for test cricket and not for T 20 . In ODI he is not given enough bowling to proof himself while he can be very economical

Gypsy, the team was selected by the captain from Karachi that is Afridi, Salman Butt is not responsible for omission of Fawad Alam, Afridi and Mohsin Hasan are, both from Karachi.

Mohsin Khan says that he is not responsible for this biased selection. Instead he says it was coach and the captain. On the other hand, KCCA blames Ijaz Butt.
Whatever the case, I am optimistic that the situation will change. These biased decisions will not continue. Hopeful that players like Fawad Alam etc. will get the chance they deserve to represent the national side.

What ever but only Captain never select the team there are many things also and this is from the beginning .... I know truth is alwaz bitter ...So all Karachi associations are on the roads for the inclusion of Karachi Players .....

I was trying to detect sarcasm but I still fail to detect some, anyway if you include Sami and Faisal while pursuing Fawad's case then you kill it as soon as you include both of these failures.

clearly its simply because hes from karachi!!!!! same with sarfraz ahmed (who DID'NT drop any catch in aus!) and khurram manzoor (who scored a fighting 77 in the last test in aus, which is probably a lot more than imran farhat and shoaib malik will score in a whole year!!!) but yeah its not like most guys will agree with it, but thats okay but please remember (and I hate to mention it her and apologize in advance for doing so) what has been happening in balochistan and why???????? but I do hope and pray that doesnt happen in any other part of Pakistan!
