Re: The Craziest and Common Myths Thread

I’m afraid not. Microwaves are electromagnetic waves of a certain energy, just like light. They heat food up by passing through it, and causing water molecules to get excited (heat up). Covering food does nothing except prevent a mess for certain kinds of food.

Still, whenever my nano is around, I have to cover my food when using the microwave. :disgust:

Re: The Craziest and Common Myths Thread

Re: The Craziest and Common Myths Thread

Was that a joke about internet loners and Newton dying a virgin?

Re: The Craziest and Common Myths Thread

Many "so-called" myths have good moral messages in them

Like some people say .. Dont pray in front of a door, namaz wont count

It has a message that if someone prays in front of a door, he/she will get distracted and it'll be inconvenient for the passersby.

Re: The Craziest and Common Myths Thread

The most weird myth I heard and actually tested was that if a baby is born with a certain angle on the back of its head tells the following baby is going to be a boy or a girl.

For Example: If the hair on the back of the baby narrow straight down then the next baby is going to be a girl.

If the hair narrow downwards and slightly towards the side of the head, then its going to be a boy.

This is a tested method and it works. Try it out you'll never ever be wrong. I don't know why scientists aren't doing research on this?
