The government should negotiate on one point agenda only (and that’s cessation of hostilities), under no circumstances the government should give into talebans demand for shariah, releasing their comrades and withdrawal of troops from fata. In case of failure of talks the government should order operations against the militants throughout the country. In the country wither the militants should live or pakistanis.

The Taliban will never agree to that. The reason they are fighting is not because of Drone Strikes, its because they want to take over Pakistan and implement their medieval version of Sharia Law. Drone Strikes is a convenient excuse to explain away the atrocities committed by these animals.

There hasn’t been any drone strikes in over 6 weeks and yet suicide bombings, attacks continue.

These negotitation drama will continue for another week and when they fail, hopefully the Army will have drawn up a plan to take out the TTP bases in North Waziristan.

One can hope.
