There were reports that roads leading to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and Civil Hospital, Karachi, had also been blocked.

Ambulance driver Muhammad Asif told The Express Tribune that he took all the patients to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital instead of Civil hospital or JPMC as there was no way for them to reach the latter since Sharae Faisal was closed for traffic.

Another driver, Mubeen Adil, shared a similar story and said that he had to bring patients from Garden area to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital since the Civil hospital, which was closer to the area, was impossible to reach.

KARACHI: Road closures at main artery of the including Shahra-e-Faisal and other roads on the route of the rally led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari created problems for the Karachiites.

Roads leading to two main hospitals of the city namely Civil Hospital and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre were closed, making it difficult for the ambulances to shift the patients to these hospitals.
It is pertinent to mention here that the traffic police had issued a guideline a day earlier asking people to use alternate routes for reaching their destinations, however, excessive closures of roads due to security concerns for the participants of the rally created traffic havoc in the city.
