Re: The biggest problem is the name of the provinces
I think baba jee made a strategic mistake at the time of creation of pakistan by making provinces based on ethnicity and further so by naming them as such. I mean if Punjab was not named Punjab, punjabis wouldn’t consider themselves chaudharies of punjab and try to crush other nationalities living in Punjab…similarly if Balochistan was not Balochistan, balochs wouldn’t be killing punjabis saying Balochistan is for balochs and so on. I respect baba jee and I am sure he would have worked on this area if he were alive for a few years after independence. However, since he isn’t, I think all provinces in Pakistan should be dissolved and new administrative provinces be created while making sure that none of the provinces are based on ethnicity and neither province has a racist name. At least this would eliminate the chaudharahat of the nationalities living in these provinces since they cannot claim that the province is only for them as the name so suggests. I think the names Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KPK reek of racism. Lisanist/Asbiat is considered an ugly thing in our religion and nations have been destroyed over it. I think its high time, Pakistan did something about this problem.
The argument is not that smaller provinces shouldn’t be give opportunities and funds, its just that despite all that, there is this nasty element of racism in the names that somehow seems to encourage lisaniat in my humble opinion.
Well, Punjab in India is still called Punjab and so are the other states, besides Punjab is as such not an ethnicity (it means land of five rivers). As far as persecution of non Punjabis is concerned, I dont see that in Punjab though! This is the reason why during the past 10 years or so, the population of Urdu speaking and Pashtuns have increased in Punjab manifolds.
