oh yeah. If you have not tried Akhroot Halva (walnut halva) from dilpasand tu tussi jamya e naee. Its a MUST eat in desserts. I used to go to their first branch (Jama cloth market branch)

Yeah its the same branch I was talking about. Urdu Bazaar / Jama cloth same area. I actually went to DJ College so Friday program with yaar dost was used to be Sabri Nihari then Dilpasand Sweet and finally PIDC pan. Aaah good old days

BTW, there are so many famous sweet shops in Karachi seeling sweets from Bengali Rosh Gulla to Arabic Baklawa.

Its about Muslims of Delhi who promote this Nihari and similar foods (meat items). Remember, we discussed in a thread that you won’t find a veggie specialty when you talk about food in Muslim areas.

I think in pre-Islamic India, people had no knowledge of non-veg food.

I don’t think so. These nomads including saansi even enjoyed reptiles before Islam and as far as remember meat was not restricted during period of Ramyan as well.

I agree to that. Due to presumed ban on meat consumption before Islam, Indian society might have lost their creativity to develop delicious non-veg recipes.
