Not even kaybees ice cream is mentioned, mithais of karachi are not very much popular i think, but yes there are so many asr e shireen, dacca sweets, united king, qasr e shireen, dhamthal, continantel etc, but i think so any mithai shop is famous in karachi

BTW, there are so many famous sweet shops in Karachi seeling sweets from Bengali Rosh Gulla to Arabic Baklawa.

There used to be this girl ‘Falak Sheereen’ in our school in hometown (class 1 to 5) . Her parents shifted somewhere. When after years, I came to study in Karachi, I saw all these Asr e sheereen, Qasr e Sheeren shops and I wrote to a friend ‘Falak Sheeren ke baap ne Karachi main boht si mithai ki shops khol rakhi hain’ :omg:

I agree, I don't have taste for these heavy foods. Probably, my rural background is a reason. Most of people there don't like these heavy food items and therefore i found it over-hyped. On other hand, Nihari is used to be a morning food item and I read somewhere that if it was not consumed on time (just after fajr), people didn't like to have it after that time.

Last time I visited Karachi it was 7 years back. I am sure there are many new ones that I have yet to visit.
