Basically the way the Arrivals series was presented was to really attract the youth (which it did). The message within the series has been mixed up with more fiction than facts (copy pasting ahadith/ verses without any scholarly background). The Aqeedah taught in the series is not in line with Sunni Islam (again if you watched the series, it was much more “politically correct” than factual). The Ulema also say we don’t need this series to “enlighten us” or “wake us up” because if we had gone to True Knowledge (Quran and Sunnah) we would already know all this. Some points are good in the series but again we do not need such things to teach all this.
Anyway, the discussion includes examples from sunnah to support the view against arrivals.. must listen if you’ve seen the arrivals.
