The 60 countries in the "Coalition"

Yesterday in his (last) press conference (of 2003), President Bush repeatedly parroted that there are 60 countries in the coalition against Iraq. He was trying to portray that this means that there is wide international support. When asked about those who oppose the war, he said, well there are really only two: France and Germany. Talk about spin.

Anyway, my question is… is there a list of these 60 countries somewhere? I’d like to see it. May be its posted in this forum, some place, and I missed it. Some radio jockey was joking that the list probably includes Disneyland and Atlantis too. I doubt it.

Ok.. so anyone has any link or the actual list of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’, please post here.

Thanks a lot.

I must say, there are quite a few names there which stand out as odd.

Eritrea brings the pain, you know your team is stacked when you've got Eritrea batting for you.

Madhanee.. I am disappointed in you.. There is a big difference between Palau and Biryani. I was taken to task at home the other day, when I made the same mistake. Apparently Palau is a lot simpler to make, and just the statement insulted Biryani big time.

And the island right next to Palau is called .... Roti (seriously). Honestly, what kind of screwed up people will put Roti right next to Palau? Where is the friggin' Qorma??

Swaziland is not part of coalition?

Did Saudi Arabia send any troops?

BTW, the coalition means anyone who

  1. agreed to invade Iraq?
  2. didn’t oppose invasion of Iraq?
  3. participated in invasion of Iraq?

what does it really mean?

I saw Iraq in the name of coalition list too. :rotfl: :hehe: :rotfl:

I'm just glad that Ethiopan companies have the chance to bid on billions of dollars of Iraqi reconstruction projects and the French don't. The profits ought to boost Ethiopa's floundering economy.

Aw man.. there was a good article a while back where a reporter called up the embassies for most of these places and asked what they were contributing to the effort, a few actually said they had no idea, one that I remember was that Colombia offered up its airspace!

I gotta find that article.. it was funny.

Oh petty people,

Micronesia is a friggin' powerhouse I tell 'ya!

We are honored to serve beside their soldier!

In 20 years time when all the facts are and the truth will come out, that being the Marshall Islands have been the United States Puppet Masters since the Carter administration. Their population of 50,000 are responsible for bringing the U.S. troops copra, without them the U.S. would just be another Canada. And you thought the Jews were in charge of this operation.

Waitaminute... aren't the Marshall Islands a US territory?? I know we have a base there, Kwajalein.

nevermind.. slow on the posting...

who is mocking having a military, industry and technology powerhouse like Tonga...have youi not read about Tongas space superiority? (I am not even kidding)

dont mock global powerhouses like Tonga..

ok ok ok .... HOW IN THE HELL CAN IRAQ BE ON THE COALITION AGAINST IRAQ??????

List is of countries eligible to get contract work, Iraq being one of them.

Ah, ok.. I thought this was the prewar list :smack:

At least it isn’t padded with England, Scotland, Wales, Jersey, etc…

No.. its padded with US controlled or dependant islands, like

Macedonia
Marshall Islands
Micronesia
Palau
Solomon Islands

Or, African states, who couldn't give two hoots about Iraq as long as they get hefty $$$ to keep on fighting amongst themselves

Angola
Eritrea
Ethiopia
Honduras
Rwanda
Tonga
Uganda

Or "angotha chaap" bankrupt Central Asian/East European states who couldn't give a straw to help US practically but are looking for alms

Albania
Azerbaijan
Bulgaria
Czech Republic
Estonia
Georgia
Kazakhstan
Latvia
Lituania
Mongolia
Moldova
Slovakia
Romania
Uzbekistan

And the last category are the countries who will sign on the dotted line as long as they get to share America's wealth

Dominican Republic
El Salvador
Nicaragua
Panama
Colombia
Costa Rica

Not to forget, my most favorite of the prime contractors Afghanistan.

In essense, its the following countries who actually count in terms of being more useful than just a mere name in a long list of useless countries.

1 Australia
2 Bahrain
3 Denmark
4 Egypt
5 Hungary
6 Iceland
7 Italy
8 Japan
9 Jordan
10 Kuwait
11 Morocco
12 Netherlands
13 New Zealand
14 Norway
15 Oman
16 Philippines
17 Poland
18 Portugal
19 Qatar
20 Saudi Arabia
21 Singapore
22 South Korea
23 Spain
24 Thailand
25 Turkey
26 UAE
27 Ukraine
28 United Kingdom

yes the list is a joke, point?
