Reminds me of an incident in England during 1983 world cup. New Zealand who were 9 wickets down required 11 runs to win off the last over with J. Coney batting, sarfraz was bowling, First ball, coney hit it hard to cover where Javed was fielding. He pretended he had misfielded and turned as if he was running after the ball, the NZ players started taking the run, Javed turned around and threw the ball to Bari who removed the bails and Pakistan won. That was the genius of this man. He was a pleasure to watch.

I think he and Asif Iqba was the best runner between the wickets. I’ve seen a video in which Pakistan won match against India in 1978/1979 and He and Asif Iqbal did marvelous running and in the end Imran Khan hit sixes to Bedi and Pakistan won that match.
