Or how about the time i was trying to reach my husband and he wasn’t answering the phone, and when he finally did, he was in the car with bluetooth on so I was on speaker…I launched into annoyed and nagging wife mode, not knowing his friend was sitting in the car with him, listening to my lecture :sid:
Yea, that was super awks…it was his fault, he should have told me he was with somebody

Ok I’ve done this twice now. Once when I was really little and once when, well, I wasn’t so little

My grandma did this once! There were 2 exactly the same cars parked in front of each other, one was ours and the other was someone else’s car. My grandma had gone to a shop to get something and when she came back she sat in the car in front of us for a good 5 mins. She probably realised after 5 mins that the that car wasn’t ours because she said when she told the man to go (she thought it was my dad) he didn’t move nor say anything (poor guy was probably traumatized). She then looked at him, gasped, saw the car behind was ours, apologised and left.

I was on the plane coming back from Saudi to London when I spotted one of my friend, went upto him and seeing him sitting alone I asked him he was going to London without the family. He said yes to which I replied in Punjabi “kaley kaley ayashee karan ja rae ho”. He looked at me and said “my mother has just passed away I am going to her funeral”. I didnt know what to say.

Aww! The first time I did that it was dark out, and my mom had sent me to a store to pick something up. I came out running and walked up to what I thought was my car, and tried to open the passenger side door and it wouldn’t open, so I knocked on the window. I peered in and the lady sitting there was definitely not my mom. She probably thought I was one of those beggar children, looking at my huliya.

What’s even worse is when it’s not person sitting in the look a like car, but a big dog!!! Omg, I hate it when that happens…it’s always a huge great dane or something that starts barking it’s head off

This wasn’t really an awkward moment as much as it was the store’s fault, but I went to the cash counter, and pulled out my credit card to pay with. It’s a brand new card, used only a couple of times. This was H&M btw. Anyways, the guy swipes it, and it doesn’t read it or it doesn’t work or something like that. And I’m all like…err I know it should work I don’t think I’ve reached my credit limit. So he tries it again, and same result. At the same time the guy’s giving me this look of “you poor person whose credit card doesn’t even work”. I paid with cash, and walked out, wondering if there was something wrong with the magnetic stripe of the card and how can I get it fixed. Anyways, walk into another store, and I thought hey, I’ll try my card again and let’s hope it works. I have my fingers crossed, and lo and behold, it works! H&M’s credit card machine just didn’t work
