I googled Poondi and found this …

Poonds should never ignore the following safety rules :

1- Do not hit on girl when she is accompanied by brother/father. The consequences are fatal if this rule is ignored.

2- Always have an escape vehicle along with plan. A smart poond should never ignore the chances of persecution.

3- Dont use your little brother as your letter carrier.

4- Dont leave any written proof of your involvement. letters and emails increase chances of being caught. be smart and use messenger or even better Mirc programs.

5- for your own safety, never give your address and home phone number. You never know if the girl is actually gonna use it to send her bodyguards(including brothers and cousins along with their trusted friends) to your home.

Yeah I thought the same … with a little variation.

I think Poondi is just eyeing opposite sex with not so good intentions … and tharak include talk and may be touching to some extent like a quick rub/ brush.

Never heard of tharka ......... it does't even sound right.

"Tharki" is used for both males and females.
