I don’t know why I feel APS tragedy was an inside job to achieve more than just one goal.
This is like what Americans, British, Indians or perhaps other armed forces and intelligence agencies do **by sacrificing a few to save all.
Had there not been an attack on APS on 16 December 2014,
- Military operation in the tribal areas against the so called Taliban wouldn’t have been easier **(in other words the mess that we had created over decades under guidance from the United States of America would be cleaned up easily… the magical national action plan, Karachi operation and blah blah blah. MQM, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi etc, the allies of the past were got rid off),
** - The date was carefully chosen as 16 December so that every year on 16 December a Pakistani institution would not be forced to recall the tragedy of 1971; instead the Army Chief would at ease attend the ceremony for APS martyrs. **
