it is feared that the toll may go higher as the operation is still continuing and a large number of students are still trapped in one area of school.

Death toll of only children reaches to some 100 . Total goes to about 124 or more . It is time to decide about our future . Don't allow any one to use the name of Islam any way any more .

During this attack, Pakistani Airforce should bomb each and every known and suspected hideout of these barbarians, even if it is in Afghanistan... just kill as many terrorists as possible... 2ndly, hang all the known terrorist sympathizers just then and there... anyone who is remotely connected should be shot at site... no more prisoner taking... anyone speaking in their favor or against govt's action against them shall be taken to task for good...
Pakistan has been feeding and supporting terrorism across the border in Afghanistan for the last 35 years and this type of killings has happened on multiple occasion. Pakistani analyst, retired army generals and govt officials were and are still making a difference between good and bad Taliban. So you tell me what is the difference between Yahaya Khail bombing in eastern Afghanistan in which 54 people died because they were watching volleyball and this killing of today in Peshawar. Don't forget that all the killed ones are pashtoons, whereas the problems is created by other ethnicities and you know well who they are.

this is a school for the children of army personnel.
I have studied at Army Public School (though not this one). They are not only for the children of army personnel. In our class, we only had 5-6 army kids while there were 30-35 civilians. The only difference is the army kids pay a very subsidized fee plus the senior most army officer in the cantonment is the ceremonial head (not principal) of the school.

3 more explosions heard inside the school...3 blocks of the school has been searched and cleared. army is still trying to clear the rest of the school premises.
