Attia my dear nikahfied. I’m sure you’r not aware of the whole story behind Terri Schiavo. Her family her self is divided into 2 opposite groups.
Terri was being kept alive despite her tremendous pain and agony.
She was brain dead sliding to her painful physical end slowly and gradually.
This is inhuman and the reason when court heard the petition to pull the life support system off her was an obvious yay.

^ raini jee... still how would u know that she might get alright after a month or year... or an hour... that is really not nice.. as i said before... would do the same thing if any of ur near friends get this disease (Allah na karay)
the thing is that we always think that is ok for other but not for us... believe me u would never allow this if it was in ur case... then why are u allowing it now ... That is the only difference.. we ppl are soo mean :(

Most of her brain cells were DAMAGED AND DEAD and could NOT recover. Yes her eyes would follow your finger but she didn't sense anything, she didn't feel anything. I was talking to a doctor yesterday at work and he explained all this procedure to me and believe me, it was done for her own good. It's sad to see how this was a really good way for the news channels to make millions and government to use it for politics.

errrrr…she was brain dead :-s When someone is brain dead and a machine is breathing and eating for her, she’s still dead :-s It’s the MACHINE that’s keeping her alive :-s

I dont care what religion you are or what culture you come from....starving a fellow human being to death is wrong wrong wrong. NO ONE, even the top specialists in neurology, really KNOW what her level of consiousness is. What they did to her is ILLEGAL to do to an animal! I think that, at some level, she was quite aware that she was starving to death. Whether that's at the level of an infant or an animal doesnt matter. Starvation ON PURPOSE??? That is just so inhumane. I mean, if I were in that position with one of my babies (OMG, GOD FORBID) I'd visit a drug dealer and buy a "mercy cocktail" to give her before I put her through starving to death. Disgusting to do this to a human, no matter HOW helpless they may be.

4. When is a person dead? Muslim medical experts have defined death in the following way: An individual is considered dead in one of the following two situations:
A) Complete irreversible cessation of respiratory and cardiovascular systems.
B) Complete irreversible cessation of the functions of the brain including the brain stem.
This should be confirmed by the accepted medical standards. In case of brain death it is required to have the presence of a reliable medical specialist well experienced in the clinical diagnosis of brain and brain stem death and the various implications of such diagnosis.

When Prophet Ibrahim was given the signs to put his own son to the sword
for a grand sacrifice. The conception was not based on a blood thirsty dream, but rather a simplified example for the following umma. Allah swt works in mysterious ways and gave us examples upon examples of the true meaning of life & death. Here and After.
Life is limited and life after death is infinity . So which one do you think is more meaningful.
Humanity is created to live for life after death not for what we have right now.

are u trying to tell me that those freakens doctors were like Prophet Ibrahim... If Allah asked Ibrahim to do that, then dear there was a proper reason behind that... but wat was the reason behind this... Rainu i really believe me cant satisfy myself that it was correct ..

yea when i pain for more den 14 years…all my family will suffer just coz of me. comon attia.. i know life is most perious thing one could have… but when i have to b hospitalize for rest of my life.. sowwie i would rather die.. i know there would b a hope but seriously.. be practical… 14 years..
