Also, in the Meera thread you said you watched Hum Sab Umeed Sai Hain. That is on GEO.
So what other channels did you get and were they through cable or satellite dish ? And why can't you get them anymore ?

actually till 2005-2006 these channels were available....
ptv was commonly available on cable before kargil war after war ptv vanished and geo, ary digital and qtv were available on dth service till 2005-06....
every channel with downlinking facility in india should be registered at information ministry and pakistani channels r not registered so i can not watch them.....
though qtv is available on cable....

i even watched George ka pakistan,cocktail on both the channels
before that i used to watch "home sweet home" on ptv:)

Tanvir whats your favourie Naat and what do you think that we don't have more naats like 'Faaslon ko takalluf hai' and 'Zah e Muqaddar' nowadays?

Good question I don't know why I feel like even its Junaid Jamshed's naats, but his or Ali Haider's style although they are not using music is more like song.

no famous naat khwaans in my state.....
we completely rely on pakistan.........
all famous naats played are from pakistan bhai....
i like owais raza qadri

I couldn't quote you Naats and Hamds like I could filmi songs, unfortunately.
But I know that there are many that they play on TV that are beautiful.

With the Eid Milaad Nabi, there should be a lot playing on TV this week.

My all time favorite from Alhaj Khursheed Ahmed (RIP)

Khurshed Sahb voice as a healing effect in his voice. All the Naats and Hamds recited by him become famous.

Although I have a lot of issue with JJ, some of his Hamds and Naats are very nice.
One that comes to mind is the one that is shot at the Baadshahi Mosque. Can't remember the words right now.

Thanks for sharing Ninja. I was just thinking to share Muzaffar Warsi’s kalam.

Muzaffar Warsi, a talented poet and Hamd o Naat Khawan, written and recited some famous hamd and naats. He is the writer and reciter for the famus Hamda Ae khuda ae khuda (later recited by Adnan Sami) & Koi to hai jo Nizam e Hasti chala raha hai (later recited by Nusrat Fateh Alikhan).
