The independent winning would not threaten the PML, the PML candidate could come in third to make it look cushy and if PTI come in second then they get no joy … Sometimes the tactic is to hide support in the third runner to cause a loss for the main competitor … this is basic Machiavellian tactics …

So, what you are suggesting is that PMLN put a dummy candidate b/c they knew he was going to lose to an independent candidate? Even Zaid Hamid could not come up with such a perfect conspiracy theory.
