Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
I am sorry I cannot confirm these words so loudly as I do not feel myself having any authority over God, as you do.

Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
What you are saying is GOD is not perfect. He kept on sending his improvements thru different prophets, pbuh.
What was his intention that he didnt made the msg to be accepted a ‘must’ ?
Keep the option open of rejecting.
What was his intention that he created confusion by sending the original msg in one language and improvement in other?
How come he come to a conclusion all of a sudden that no further improvement required in coming 3000-4000 years.
My humble opinion, dont make any faith / religion look like science & maths. You will never able to prove it.
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
Lahore These r the answers for ur questions
Ganesha did not lose his head. He was killed by Vishnu in a vicious battle, not knowing that Ganesha was the son of Shiva.
According to Hindu Scriptures a head once cut off by Sudarshana chakra cannot be placed back. So it was decided that the head of any animal that comes their way first should be fixed in Lord Ganesha's torso. It was an elephant that came first. So Lord Ganesha's torso was fixed with the head of an elephant.
Any Questions?????????
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
INDIA4U, you have not answered my questions completely. Please read them once again. You have only rectified the actual incidence…
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
How come god (rather gods) is so helpless in this regard. It looks like a story of a normal fictional character. Right?
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
Lord Ganesa lost his head one day, so Lord Siva chopped-off an elephant's head and attached it to Ganesa's body. This is how Lord Ganesa became an Elephant-headed God.
Marvelous! It means that Hindu religion is complete in medical science. Still the modern medical science cannot re implant the head and our people and Gods could do it in ancient times.
We are far ahead of any other religion in medical science.
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM

Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
oh yayyyy!!!!
Yet another thread where people pat themselves on the back cause they are so very different (and therefore much better of course) from another person who actually prays to the same God.
After all, somehow we have to feel good about ourselves right? So it may as well be by tearing someone else down and creating an atmosphere of us versus them, as opposed to building a foundation to bring people closer.
There are a few quotes I always keep close to my heart -
“There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing,” wrote King Solomon (Proverbs 12:18)
"Don't try to tear down other people's religion about their ears, Build up your own perfect structure of truth, and invite your listeners to enter in and enjoy it's glories." - Brigham Young
"It is easier to pull down than to build up" - Latin Proverb
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
Only difference is, its never been proven. If your people could do it in ancient times, why can’t they do it now?
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
in the future important organs of humans can be harvested from pigs
Many people who need a kidney transplant have to spend years on dialysis waiting for a suitable organ to becomee available.
However the human immune system swiftly rejects tissue from ordinary pigs, because pigs produce a special sugar called alpha 1,3 galactose, which immune cells target. The key to preventing this rejection is to remove from the pigs’ DNA a crucial gene which makes an enzyme that transfers this sugar to the surface of cells.

Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
Have the Jinns been proved ? Have the angels been proved ? Has the heaven been proved ?
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
Yep they have. But I still don't understand - If Hindus could replace heads in ancient times, why can't they do it now?
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
Please grow up and start respecting each others' beliefs. Any more of the non-sense and I'd be compelled to start locking down threads. For the record, a few posts have been removed.
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
^ I have no problem with your deleting posts.
But I didn’t make anything up. I didn’t post anything out of Hindus belief. I simply posted whatever is there in their scriptures. How can it be said that we are insulting them?
I just posted a few references from their scripture as it appears in them. Simple ![]()
Very intelligent question and no answer till now ![]()
Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
For Hindus God, as is, is beyond any attributes of form, color, shapes … That is, God does not have any specific form or name. In this state God is referred to as nirguNa brahman (attributeless god). However God takes forms as perceived by humans and this perceived form is called saguNa brahman (god with (good) attributes). These forms could range from calm to fierce to yogic (1). Each form has its significance. For example when one is depressed and sees the form of God Strong and Powerful, the seeker feels the moral boost that God would definitely be the support for the right thing. Similarly when in an auspicious ceremony would like the God to be the calm provider of boons. In a spiritually elevated state, the choice would be the yogic form of God. The forms provide a basis for the Hindu worshipper to easily pursue the otherwise incomprehensible Supreme. So Hinduism supports both form as well as formless worship of the God. Whether one worships in saguNa or nirguNa way, it is ultimately the same God.
Let us hail the God, Who does not have a name or a form or anything like that, by singing thausands of Its names!

Re: TEN MYTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY & HINDUISM
Okay fine and I agree Bhagwat gita says the same…
“…Of that God you cannot make any images.”
Yajur Veda 3:32
“God is formless and bodiless”
Yajur Veda 32:3
Now this is a contradiction. This statement contradicts the above atstement according to the following two quotes of the Yajur Veda
“…Of that God you cannot make any images.”
Yajur Veda 3:32
“God is formless and bodiless”
Yajur Veda 32:3
Now here is evidence from bhagawat Gita that negates your claim…
“The ignorant believe that un-manifest Para Brahma (One God) incarnates or takes manifestations, because they do not completely understand My highest, immutable, incomparable, and transcendental existence.”
Bhagavat Gita 7-24
Men of small intelligence worship the demigods, and their fruits are limited and temporary. Those who worship the demigods go to the planets of the demigods, but My devotees ultimately reach My supreme planet.
Bhagavat Gita 7-23
Endowed with such a faith, he endevours to worship a particular demigod and obtains his desires. But in actuality these benefits are bestowed by Me alone.
Bhagavat Gita 7-22
Again this is refuted in the light of above quotes and also here below
“All those who worship the uncreated things, they are in darkness, and you’ll enter more into darkness if you worship the created things.”
Yajur Veda 40:8
