Tell me about Allah...

Re: Tell me about Allah…

you are wrong sir, but lets just leave it at that.

Re: Tell me about Allah...

then, you did not get a hold of the actual one. I know there are many non-muslim versions of Islam [72 virgins - marrying a child ... get my drift?]

Allah only guides those whom He wills and I pray that may He guide all of us.. Aameen

Brother Lajawaab:

Recently, I came across with a beautiful analysis by Yusuf Estes, named NO BRAINER.

I would like to share it for the benefit of all of us. I hope that you will listen to it too

Actually, it is not to control the masses. It is to live in a harmonious community.

blind faith? I have been studying as many religions as I can , including Athiesm to proof to myself that Islam was the true religion.

are you saying that that’s good a thing?

I must agree with Anwaar Qureshi. It is not the belief that is affecting the world but the people who use religion as a means to do other things. Let’s look at September 11th. I have heard a string of arguments from most people.

  1. it was Islams fault

me: no it wasn’t. all the Quranic verses were poorly interpretated, as were the hadith that the terrorists used as justification.

  1. (my favourite argument that is used) oh but if Islam didn’t exist, then there wouldn’t be a Quranic verse to misread. See! It is all Islams fault

me: if Islam wasn’t there, these people would have found another way to justify their attacks. you can look at many attacks all around the world that are falsely justified. Some use power as an excuse, some use safety, some use religion. Religion is not the problem. In fact, when followed properly, it is the solution.

 I thought we were going to talk only about OUR OWN BELIEVE , not debate MY believe or what it’s effect will be.
