Tanishq Lauches its wedding jewellery collection. The famous Arundathi Nag, from paa, plays the role of the Mother in the new ad.
The ad has attracted generated a lot of buzz. And not all is good. Many netizens have taken it to task on public forums for its tone and message.
Here’s what a youtube user says, “The brand seems to be taking a very condescending view of its role and importance in the life of the consumer. While I agree that jewellery plays a very important role in the life of a woman, even in the life of a modern woman; but for it to make a woman reconsider her priorities in life seems a bit over the top.” He feels that after seeing the communication, women with a modern outlook would feel that their life decisions are being trivialized; while conservative women might feel that the brand is being patronising, by objectifying them as being fickle and prone to temptation.

It makes me want to enter a showroom and try out the wedding jewellery!

I Love this other ad by tanishq(I believe) with asin and a guy in a boat. god that is such a romantice and dreamy ad :) everytime I see this ad I totally fall in love with south india all over again :) I adore the head/hair jewelry these guys wear. Sorry went totall off topic here. BTW has really good stuff, 4/5 time I go there I end up buying something :)

Here is a blog I came across while looking for more of Tanishq bandhan line. These pieces are from their Aleya line. Exquisite and truly to die for. I’m sorry mahi for posting something unrelated to the original post but I couldn’t resist sharing these pieces with all of you. These pieces are not that new and may have been viewed before but these pictures are high quality.

yes Tanishq is located in gulf shopping mall, they have excellent designs and they can copy almost every design.. love their work!!

Tanishq is a great brand . I have done a detail study on them in my business school but never bought from them ...
