hmm it happens when one is in deep slumber in my experience.
I used to talk in my sleep. Sometimes I'd find myself saying something in Arabic, not sure what I was saying though. Sometimes I would wake up and catch myself saying something. My wife also noticed me doing it a couple of times and would tell me about the next morning.
