Re: Taliban-The real enemy of the state
Listen. If there are Taliban hiding in Nuristan, its not because the US gives them safe haven, its because the US is not actively operating in Nuristan. Its part of the draw down, which is obviously not working in our favor. Now the US is in a odd position here. If they stay and fight, they are accused of being invaders. If they leave, they are accused of allowing Taliban safe haven. They are damned if they do and damned if they dont.
Now think for yourself. What logical sense would there be in the US giving safe haven to Taliban? What benefit do they get out of it?
All the questions you raise smack of a mind obsessed with conspiracy… All I can tell you is, that in general, when something seems so implausible, that the only way to make sense of it is to create a huge intricate web of complex connections, laced with even more questions, THEN its probably just unfounded conspiracy… So at this point, your indulging in conspiracy, with very little foundation in reality.
No offense intended.
I will say however, that I believe the US has a responisbility in Afghanistan. They cannot leave without making sure the situation is stable. Hence, they should be going after the Taliban hiding in Nuristan.
That being said, I think its a part of their exit strategy, not an endorsement of Taliban, or support for them. That distinction has to be made.
