Re: Taliban moving closer to capital - Within 100km of Islamabad
I don't believe it. It appears to me as if we are in a state of war with the talibans at the moment.
What exactly is the government doing about all this ?? IMHO any and every element that posses a challenge to the authority of the government in the name of whatever, should be crushed immediately.
Taliban's plan of action appears to be the creation of a self proclaimed ISLAMIC state within a democratic state. This by no means is permissible in Islam.
With 700,000 Active and 528,000 reserve forces to the army*alone, what are they doing? They should be crushing these elements and protecting the integrity of the nation.
The current scenario appears to be more of a power struggle rather than a drive to enforce islamic law. IMO, the talibans would eventually fall to the tug of war for power and authority.
there are times when we need to cut away one of our limbs so that the poison is kept from spreading through our body and kill us. I believe a similar action is required here if we want to see pakistan as one peaceful country
Re: Taliban moving closer to capital - Within 100km of Islamabad
Is it the Indians who spend half a billion dollars training children to become Taliban? Or is it the country Pakistanis absolutely adore, Saudi Irb? When it comes to Islamic fundamentalism Saudi Irb is the hub of the problem.
The Taliban in Pakistan are not the ones Pakistan 'trained', they are simply dacoits who are claiming to be Taliban to give their dacoity, thuggery a religious flag.

Re: Taliban moving closer to capital - Within 100km of Islamabad
So can you tell us what 12 or 14 Indian consulates are doing in Pak-Afghan Border..!!!
why is it any of your business? are they located in Pakistan? are we putting them up without Afghanistan's request or permission?
That said, I will explain anyway, since this comes up a lot from Pakistanis.
We are giving billions to Afghanistan for infrastructure as aid. Afghanistan does not have sufficient trained engineers, technicians and managers to plan and execute these big projects. They have therefore asked us Indians to help in these aspects and hence we have opened all these officies to run these big projects. By putting them all up in consulates the number of high security offices is kept to a minimum, thus routing more of the aid to direct project work.
Re: Taliban moving closer to capital - Within 100km of Islamabad
You should sort your own country out before helping others.
There is poverty in Afghanistan but some of the poverty in India is much worse. Very few afghans live without shelters or on streets.
Dont worry about poverty in Afghanistan when your own country is bursting at the seems.....sooner or later you wont haveenough space to move.
Charity starts at home and tell your Government to do something for the 800 million under the poverty line.

Re: Taliban moving closer to capital - Within 100km of Islamabad
LOL, the jokes on you. Taliban is in complete control of Swat and Malakand, not to mention Waziristan, which by the way goes by the name of Islamic Emirate of Wazirsitan.
I think you should read up a little more. No offense.
Re: Taliban moving closer to capital - Within 100km of Islamabad
These are the fruits of Indian consulates in Afghanistan.
Not true. Don't keep fooling yourself thinking that or it will be too late.
The Indian consulate offices in Afghanistan are pretty much operating as project offices to manage the nearly billion dollars worth of infrastructure projects India is managing for Afghanistan.
Re: Taliban moving closer to capital - Within 100km of Islamabad
the whole 13 indian consulates in afghanistan is a myth. there are four consulates - herat, mazar, jalalabad, kandahar. the exact same cities where pakistan has its four consulates.
