Seems like he is another of one of the leaders: who urge their followers to die for them but when their turn comes to fight.....they vanish.........and the reappear again when it safe too do so and then urge their followers to die for them....and so on.....and so on....
Exactly, they flee on motorcycle in mountainous terrain :)
