Re: Taking It To Grave

I'll take my good deeds...Even a small good deed such as giving water to someone or being kind to someone in a nice way would be more precious to me than all the gold and wealth in the world for that's what will avail me...

The most feared object with me will be my bad deeds...Even a small bad deed such as looking at a na-mehram surreptitiously and lewdly or even being nasty to someone would be something I'd pay all I had to get rid of...

A cell phone, a laptop and a Blackberry are so trivial...

Re: Taking It To Grave

lajawab baaji u know i agree with you on this one :mash:

Re: Taking It To Grave

My amaal, the good and bad I ever did in this world. Inshallah I hope the good deeds can save me from the punishments that are awaiting :( Ameen

Re: Taking It To Grave

Now that is a grave matter. I can't imagine what a deceased must have to go through when he/she leaves behind his/her SIM card.

Re: Taking It To Grave

My Faith....well try to ..

Re: Taking It To Grave

well, idealistically, it would be my faith and the good deeds that i've done in this life.

but i think a momento would be nice. perhaps a picture of my family or something of value to me. i'm not talking materialistic or anything, but something that holds importance..

Re: Taking It To Grave

I would like to take with me the dua'ain of those that care about me.
I know my good deeds shall be with me and so will my worship.....but I suspect that these will not be enough to save me. So I'm already planning on throwing myself at His mercy and asking Him to consider the prayers of my loved ones.

I am nothing.

Re: Taking It To Grave

Depends. I have a long way to go yet.

Re: Taking It To Grave

all of you, if permitted.

but alas, religion doesnot allow that.

Re: Taking It To Grave

wats the point of thinking of bringing anything to da grave?
1st things 1st, lets think abt wat good deed we gonna do tdy.

"When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing charity, e.g. a waqf or endowment), beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him." (at-Tirmidhi)[FONT='Century Gothic']

Re: Taking It To Grave

Some of the responses in this thread could cure insomnia.

People, I am talking about your corpse not your spirit or your deeds. What you place with your body will eventually be found by some archaeology grad student in a few thousands years. You could make or break someone's career! If he wins an equivalent of today's Nobel prize and goes off to start businesses and charities based on your little buried trinket, DVD, photo album, or a printed threads from goop shoop, you will earn the 'sawab' for his good deeds. Think. Invest in your after life, help a future archaeologist. Shabaash!

If you are brave enough to do so, you are welcome. I might have learnt some Indonesian witchcraft.
