That all depends on the situation
If i am the one starting the argument and at fault i usually approach him (no her is there ) and say sorry, then give a treat whether of an icecream or pizza depends on what is readily available.
If its the other way round, the same cycle repeats with me at the receiving end

aaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww…so nice of you…i had to do that all my life…hehe my bro would never do any chores and i wud have a fight over this issue and at the end i had to say sorry and do all the chores all over again…i had to because he was older than me and kinda ruled over me
